I'm a university instructor (not a professor)...have started the PhD process but am taking some time to enjoy life after (sadly) ending my 15 year marriage. I regularly travel to Detroit, Chicago, and the Asheville/Knoxville area to see family and friends. I grew up in a very strict Pentecostal family, most of whom have disowned me, but I do have three siblings and a couple of cousins that I am very close with. They are my world <3. Other than that, I keep busy at work, doing lots of linguistic research, working with refugees, and generally trying to save the world ;) My interests include language, gender, class, race, ecology, religion (and lack thereof), and political sciences.
