I was married when I was 19. My husband has recently filed for divorce, "irreconcilable differences"...It's weird though, because how do you know if your differences are irreconcilable unless you're willing to try? He didn't try. He wanted out of the marriage because I decided that I no longer wanted to be a part of the religion that we shared. I'm the same person I always was. I was willing to respect him and his beliefs. But he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. And that hurt me, extremely.

I don't believe that marriage should be thrown away so easily. Divorce, in my opinion, is always a last resort, except in extreme cases. (Abuse, infidelity...)

So anywho, I'm obviously looking for someone who feels the same way I do about marriage. Family is extremely important to me, I love spending time with them. But I also want someone who recognizes that when you marry someone, that person becomes your immediate family. My ex's family treated me horribly, yet he was always making excuses for them and never standing up for his own wife. I just want a man who will stand by me, as I'm willing to do the same for him.

I'm almost always listening to music, I love watching movies and TV/going to the movies, I want to travel more, I believe a good sense of humor is necessary to get through life, and I want a big family. I've always wanted at least 4 kids. But...I haven't been through pregnancy/labor yet, and honestly it kind of terrifies me. So hopefully you'd be willing to help me through that.

I want a gentleman. Chivalry is not dead, and it's something that I want very much. I don't consider myself to be less of a woman if I let a guy open the door for me or walk on the part of the sidewalk next to the street while holding my hand tightly in his.

If you thought any of that was too corny, we're probably not right for each other.
